La Maison Céline a introduit le motif Macadam au tournant des années 1970, s'inspirant du pavage des rues parisiennes pour créer un monogramme alliant le "C" entrelacé à la géométrie de la chaîne de l'Arc de Triomphe — le "Blazon Chaîne". Avant l'ère Philo, avant l'ère Slimane, la pochette Macadam est l'une des pièces les plus emblématiques de l'ancienne Maison Céline, produite à une époque où le luxe français s'exprimait dans une discrétion élégante et une fabrication entièrement italienne.
Cet exemplaire est réalisé en toile enduite Macadam marron foncé, caractéristique des productions vintage de la Maison. La bande supérieure, les profils et le pourtour sont en cuir vachette naturel caramel — matière qui développe une patine dorée avec le temps. Au centre, le patch en cuir caramel en forme de blason porte l'emblème Céline Paris en relief. La fermeture est assurée par un zip courant sur toute la largeur du haut. Une fine bandoulière en cuir amovible permet de le porter en travers. L'intérieur est entièrement doublé cuir caramel clair, propre et en très bon état.
Cet exemplaire présente une usure cohérente avec son caractère vintage : des frottements et légères taches sur la bande cuir supérieure, des profils secs et usés, et des coins frottés. La toile enduite et l'intérieur sont dans un état correct à bon. Un article à porter assumé, avec le cachet de l'authentique.
